1 in 4 women will experience pregnancy or infant loss, and this experience is completely devastating and life-altering. The loss of a child at any age or stage of pregnancy can cause severe distress and can compromise a mother’s ability to function on a day-to-day basis. No one plans for loss or knows how to navigate life afterwards. When you lose a baby you can feel confused, angry, lost . . . your heart is completely shattered. You wonder, when will this pain stop, change or just lighten a little bit? Is there something wrong with me? Why can't my family and friends just understand? The weight of it all can be suffocating. The path of grief after loss is unique and there is no right way to grieve. Please know if you or someone you know has experienced loss during any stage of pregnancy or infancy, you are not alone.
