Loss of a child at any age or stage of pregnancy is devastating. No one plans for this or knows how to navigate life after loss. You can feel confused, angry, lost...your heart is completely shattered. You wonder, when will this pain stop, change or just lighten a little bit? Is there something wrong with me? Why can't my family and friends just understand? The weight of it all can be suffocating.
You might have a wonderful support network or maybe you don't. Maybe you do but you just wish you could connect with someone that truly understands what you are going through -- somewhere you can sit and talk about your pregnancy, baby or child and not feel judged.
Our Loss Group is here to support you. We are here to listen. Our group is a safe space to share your story, connect with others or to just sit in the company of people that understand. When you feel ready, please join us.
* Have you suffered a loss and are thinking about trying to conceive again or are currently pregnant after a loss, multiple losses, or a history of infertility? Our loss group facilitators have been there and are here to help. Please reach out or come be a part of our group. Your story matters and we honor your unique journey every step of the way.

Amy Hogen wears many hats but is happiest when she can be "Space Holder" or "Listener" with a hot beverage and good conversation, especially as it relates to holding space for the power of individual story and process. Amy came to be a listener by way of grief; losing her first son, Abner, at full term in 2008. Amy was supported in her own healing journey by good friends and family who held space and listened which has ignited a passion to offer the same support to those in our community. Amy continues to learn about and practice the value of listening in her work as the mother of two rambunctious rainbow boys who are 7 and 9, and through her work as an occupational therapist for the last 14 years. Also passionate about pregnancy and birth, Amy has taught childbirth education, attended over 30 births as a midwife's assistant, doula, labor sitter and friend. To talk with Amy privately, please feel free to reach out at amyahogen@gmail.com.

Randi is a Livingston/Bozeman native who graduated from Bozeman High and MSU. She moved to Northern California to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work, and moved back to Montana in 2014 where she is currently a practicing mental health therapist in Livingston. Jen Vollmer is an Arizona native who transplanted to Bozeman with her husband in 2015. Together, they have lost multiple babies (Liam, Kiera and a 3rd) before their rainbow baby girl, Holland, was born in 2018. Jen has been a participant in multiple in person and online support groups. She has found that interacting with others who understand the pain, anger and complexity of grief to be profoundly life changing.
Helping others has always been a deep passion of hers, and in 2010 she returned to school with hopes of transitioning careers from graphic design to medicine. She has been serving her community, here in Bozeman, as certified physician assistant for the past 5 years and is honored to now be supporting her community as a pregnancy and infant loss support facilitator. To talk with Jen privately please feel free to reach out to javollmer8313@gmail.com . |
Amanda Kilty, MS, LCPC, NCC is the mother of one daughter, 4 babies who forever live in her heart and one son. She practiced as a youth and family therapist specializing in helping families systematically navigate a multitude of struggles at a community mental health center for 5 years in Wyoming before moving while 7 months pregnant to Bozeman. She experienced first-hand the struggles which may be faced during the perinatal period with limited physical natural systematic supports due to moving to a new community. While growing their family here in the Gallatin Valley, her and her husband lost 4 babies. With the experience and connections made through navigating fertility and parenting struggles, Amanda has added perinatal mental health, grief and loss, yoga, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems to her repertoire of therapeutic modalities. Amanda knows how empowering, validating and strengthening it is to simply connect with fellow parents and has a passion to help spread the wealth of help Roots Family Collaborative provided for her. You can find Amanda at home teaching her children through play, gardening, cooking or out with her husband toting their children and corgi (Ted) around hiking, skiing, or dancing to live music around the Gallatin Valley.
