Groups for Parents
Nurturing community and connection for parents from preconception through early parenthood
We offer a variety of free groups and low-cost programs designed to nurture connection, compassion, and support.
Our peer-to-peer support groups are guided by a skilled facilitator and mother or father like yourself. All groups welcome new and expecting mothers and fathers of all stages who wish to connect on the joys and challenges of pregnancy and parenthood, while also gaining wisdom and support from others in a compassionate and non-judgmental space. At Roots, we know that parenting is hard. And we know that parenting without community is even harder. You are not alone, come join us with your baby or just yourself.
To protect the health of all families, please honor our illness policy: do not attend if you or your baby are feeling unwell or may still be contagious.
What to expect at a Roots Support Group
We use a peer-to-peer support group model that is both structured and unstructured, allowing for all voices to be heard and acknowledged, and for those who wish to be listeners to be respected. You can expect a friendly, inviting and trained peer-facilitator, in a safe and comfy space accompanied by other parents who understand. An opportunity to share uninterrupted, and free of judgment and advice-giving.
